Listening to his stories, he told me, "My brain wants what is best for me, but sometimes my heart is better at making decisions and I should think about releasing the hooks more often." I realized, he understood that his pragmatism was useful, but he also treasures the decisions he's made with his heart for happiness. It wasn't a harsh relationship between his heart and his brain, it was one of balance and sustainability, and it reminded me of my love for the rain: refreshing.
