description

Reconstructive tattooing (or restorative tattooing) is specific to the covering up of scar tissue, due to skin cancer removal, surgical scars or vehicle accident scars. They can all be permanently camouflaged, but requires an experienced tattooer who understands how to keep a consistent design over inconsistent skin.

Whether it is caused by a skin cancer removal, a face lift, a surgery, or an accident, the scars can be permanently camouflaged. In a lot of cases the actual scar tissue will even be improved during the process.

Breast cancer patients who have had a breast reconstruction done due to a mastectomy can now have the areola and the nipple reconstructed using reconstructive tattooing.
