“This tattoo is the story of my family's immigration. On the right side is my aunt who had to be adopted at 18 because my family was too poor to even feed her. My father and grandmother are running to her in excitement of finally reuniting after more than a decade. However, my mom is looking back, reluctant to leave her own family behind. My brother is pulling my hand forward while I look back in concern for my mother. She ultimately never wanted to leave, and I was the only member of the family who ever learned that but regardless, the leap of faith she took that day is what made me the person I am today.” - Paul Source
